Who am I?
Hello, my name is Karel Filip Drobne. I have been developing my passion for industrial design for about eight years. I recently earned a master's degree in Industrial Design from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. I believe that good design begins with empathy for the end user, and it is our responsibility as designers to recognize their needs.

My approach in design

Discover →
This is the first step in defining the objectives of the project. Information is gathered from various sources, such as interviews, audits, and research. The collected pain points are than carefully analysed to create project brief.

Define →
In this phase I present project brief to you as the resoult of collected data. The next step is to mesh consumer needs and organization wishes to be perceived by consumers. What makes it unique? What do you want people to think about your product or service? This will be the foundation of the brand. The end of this phase is prof of concept.

Develop →
Based on the research, strategic designs solutions will be explored. Multiple route will be presented and the selected will be further developed. This includes 3D prints, vizualization.

Deliver
Delivery involves testing out different solutions at small-scale, rejecting those that will not work and improving the ones that will.

My approach in design
DeltaHub is a young European company, passionate about designing products that bring extra ease to your every day. I collaborated with Deltahub for a year and a half. During this period, I worked on numerous projects that involved knowledge of industrial design, photography, and videography for marketing advertising purposes. In addition, I brought the Holdx project to fruition and sale.
Iskraemeco is a globally recognized brand whose solutions can be found in over 80 countries worldwide. For more than seven decades, Iskraemeco has been delivering quality products, solutions, and services that make efficient energy use a reality. At the master's level of industrial design, we designed a smart meter that allows the end user to monitor energy consumption in real time, and we also developed an application.
At the master's level of industrial design, we collaborated with the electrical engineering faculty to design an information center within the city of Kranj. The project's goal was to create an interactive hub within the city where all citizens can familiarize themselves with modern technology in a fun way, aiming to shape Kranj into a smart city.
We worked closely with Apple to enhance their marketing strategies. Through planning and execution, we helped Apple unveil groundbreaking technologies to the global market, solidifying their position as industry leaders.
