About
How to prevent a snow sled crash?
Every year, about 1,200 people get injured on Austrian ski slopes because of snow sled crashes and they have to seek medical care. Most common injuries are head and spine injuries, bone fractures and bruises. Almost every tenth slider injures their head or spine. Unfortunately, a higher percentage of all injured are under 14 years of age. Injuries are most common with young people due to loose sled control and unpredictable danger. In the case of the adults, the cause of the accident is most often excessive speed. The sled cannot be stopped or controlled, so riders collide into one another.
Due to its shape, Simplicity sled prevents sled riders from colliding and therefore being injured. The sleds are made of curved wood and are also easy to carry. Where there is not much space, Simplicity shape allows us to place it right next to us when waiting in cable car.
